Begun in 1986, Enjoi skateboarding company was first led by professional skateboarder Marc Johnson. Matt Eversole later filled his position when Johnson left for the greener, eh, browner fields of Chocolate Skateboards. Since that time Eversole has done a fabulous job of leading Enjoi into the forefront of the skateboarding world.
What sets Enjoi apart from other skateboard companies is its dedication to the environment and charity. 55% of profits are known to be donated to the Environmental Protection Agency. It is no wonder the Enjoi logo is a black and white Panda.
Enjoi, owned by Dwindle Distribution, released its first video in 2006. The video, Bag of Suck, won the Transworld Skateboarding Video of the Year Award and is still a favorite among fans everywhere. Bag of Suck can be seen in part or whole on Youtube.com or found on Google. Turd Life was released the following year in 2007.
Enjoi also provides numerous products that include skateboard decks, protective gear, shoes and skate clothing, and items geared especially to girls. The present Enjoi deck team includes Louie Barletta and Jerry Hsu who are featured on the product page found on websites like skatewarehouse.com.
If you’re looking for quality decks and invigorating design, Enjoi is definitely a company worth looking into. Innovative, relevant and at the top of their niche, Enjoi is a great company by industry standards. It is also a favourite among skateboarding enthusiasts everywhere. If you haven’t tried them, certainly, now is as good a time as ever.
